چکیده
Abstract This article is the first of three projected IUPAC Technical Reports resulting from Project 2011-037-2-100 (Reference Materials for Phase Equilibrium Studies). The goal this project to select reference systems with critically evaluated property values validation instruments and techniques used in phase equilibrium studies mixtures. report proposes seven liquid–liquid studies, covering four most common categories binary mixtures: aqueous moderate solubility, non-aqueous systems, low ionic liquids. For each system, available literature sources, accepted data, smoothing equations, estimated uncertainties are given.

Fluorescence anisotropy measurements in solution: Methods and reference materials (IUPAC Technical Report)*
After recalling the basic relations relevant to both steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence polarization, it is shown how the values of steady-state polarized intensities recorded experimentally usually need to be corrected for systematic effects and errors, caused by instrumentation and sample properties. A list of selected reference values of steady-state fluorescence anisotropy and pola...
متن کاملLiquid intrusion and alternative methods for the characterization of macroporous materials (IUPAC Technical Report)*
This document deals with the characterization of porous materials having pore widths in the macropore range of 50 nm to 500 μm. In recent years, the development of advanced adsorbents and catalysts (e.g., monoliths having hierarchical pore networks) has brought about a renewed interest in macropore structures. Mercury intrusion–extrusion porosimetry is a well-established method, which is at pre...
متن کاملEmpirical and theoretical models of equilibrium and non-equilibrium transition temperatures of supplemented phase diagrams in aqueous systems (IUPAC Technical Report)*
This paper describes the main thermodynamic concepts related to the construction of supplemented phase (or state) diagrams (SPDs) for aqueous solutions containing vitrifying agents used in the cryoand dehydro-preservation of natural (foods, seeds, etc.) and synthetic (pharmaceuticals) products. It also reviews the empirical and theoretical equations employed to predict equilibrium transitions (...
متن کاملCOSMOS TECHNICAL REPORT 2014-1 A scalar compromise equilibrium for n-person prescriptive games
A scalar equilibrium (SE) is defined for n-person prescriptive games in normal form. When a decision criterion (notion of rationality) is either agreed upon by the players or prescribed by an external arbiter, the resulting decision process is modeled by a suitable scalar transformation (utility function). Each n-tuple of von Neumann-Morgenstern utilities is transformed into a nonnegative scala...
متن کاملMethods of measurement and evaluation of natural antioxidant capacity/activity (IUPAC Technical Report)*
The chemical diversity of natural antioxidants (AOXs) makes it difficult to separate, detect, and quantify individual antioxidants from a complex food/biological matrix. Moreover, the total antioxidant power is often more meaningful to evaluate health beneficial effects because of the cooperative action of individual antioxidant species. Currently, there is no single antioxidant assay for food ...
